The Gippsland Cardiology Service is a new specialist practice established in 2021.

With the unique feature of being started by cardiologists who live in Gippsland, we have Gippsland patients as our primary focus. We aim to provide excellence in cardiology care to our local community. Our ongoing commitment to the region will also aim to drive improved cardiac services available both publicly and privately through continued partnership with Maryvale Private Hospital and LaTrobe Regional Health.

Our founding cardiologists have undertaken extensive training at Melbourne tertiary hospitals including the Alfred, The Royal Melbourne hospital and MonashHeart. These continued professional links allow for ready access to acute metropolitan services. Further to this, our knowledge of the Gippsland region allows us to provide high quality cardiology care which is tailored specifically to our community.

At GCS we aim to create an open-minded and inclusive environment for our staff and patients. We hope that our practice will provide a comfortable place to seek specialist care. We will work to ensure patients, family members and referring physicians have a positive experience when dealing with GCS.

2021 is the first of what will hopefully be a long history for GCS. We hope that our business will grow to allow for funding of local sports teams and community lead initiatives, job opportunities including supporting graduate cardiac physiologist training.
